NEW BOOKS FOR SUMMER 2008
Acorn Press is proud to announce two new
books for summer 2008.
A Good Summer
is a gorgeous collection of photographs by Anna Karpinski, edited
by Ann Thurlow, with text contributions by 16 Island writers.
Growing Up With Julie
is a memoir by Gerry Steele about growing up in a Scottish household
with an Acadian mother.
PEI BOOK AWARD NOMINATIONS
The jury for the 2008 PEI Book Award has released the shortlist of titles for the prestigious award, and seven of the nine shortlisted books come from Acorn Press.

Winners in each of the three categories will be announced at the
Prince Edward Island Book Awards to be held on September 10, 2008,
Confederation Centre Public Library, 7 p.m. Copies of all of the
finalist volumes can be found in Island bookstores.
