Catherine Edward

Catherine Edward was born in 1948 in Saint John, New Brunswick, the daughter of a psychiatrist father and nurse mother. She spent her early years in Oregon, before moving back to New Brunswick in 1959.

A writer/researcher and broadcaster, she worked for CBC Radioís Ideas and Morningside, moving to Prince Edward Island in 1973, where she raised three children and continued to freelance with local and national CBC.

Since her diagnosis, she spends as much time as she can with her husband Michael on their 103-acre farm in Belfast, Prince Edward Island, where their youngest son and his wife will also homestead. She is an avid gardener and cook, and loves visiting with her other children and grandchildren in Ontario and Australia.
