Dale is an artist who lives in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She paints and draws pictures of people and animals and scenes she likes. She's very good at taking an author's words and putting pictures to them - often just as the author saw them himself! Luckily, through the wonder of making books, we get to see them, too!

Dale has illustrated several books with PEI writer David Weale, including The True Meaning of Crumbfest, which features Eckhart the Mouse, and Everything That Shines, a story about a young girl named Maddie and her horse, Shekinah.

Dale and her cat Martha invite you into her Charlottetown studio, to learn some simple drawing techniques, to see how a book is made, and to have some fun. Thanks for coming along!
